The International Society of Automation (ISA) will now provide end-user input to help further an international standards program for smart manufacturing.
ISA is a developer of widely used international consensus standards in key areas of industrial automation, including cybersecurity, safety and enterprise-control integration. The decision to include its input regarding the standards stems from a recent meeting of a new International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) systems committee on Smart Manufacturing. The meeting was held in Frankfurt, Germany.
